American Express Expands Airport Lounge Network in Canada

07:45 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- American Express (AXP) said Wednesday that it is expanding its lounge partnership with Swissport International's Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality business, with new Aspire Amex Lounges planned at Calgary and Montreal airports. The company said a new lounge at Calgary International Airport will open Wednesday for passengers flying to domestic destinations. A second lounge at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport will open by early next year for passengers traveling to the US, the company said. American Express said eligible cardholders will receive priority lounge and waitlist access, along with buffet and table-side dining options. Separately, American Express said its 33rd Centurion Lounge will open at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on Thursday. The nearly 6,000-square-foot lounge will offer dining, a coffee bar, work areas, Wi-Fi and other amenities, it added.
