According to industry sources, Samsung Electronics has started prototype production at its foundry in Taylor, Texas, supplying AI5 chips to Tesla (TSLA.US). The Samsung Taylor plant was originally scheduled to begin full-scale production around November, but due to surging demand for AI chips from major technology companies, Samsung accelerated prototype production to begin yield verification. The company plans to complete large-scale production verification by the end of this year and begin full supply next year.
