German Chancellor Merz stated in a media interview in Seoul, South Korea, on October 30 that Germany is coordinating and strengthening diplomatic efforts through various channels in hopes of ending the US-Israel-Iran conflict as soon as possible. Merz said that this conflict has had a huge impact on Europe; in the past eight months alone, the energy price increases caused by the conflict have cost Europe more than 10 billion euros. He indicated that from the perspective of economic interests, the conflict should end as soon as possible. Merz also called on all parties involved in the conflict to resolve issues through diplomatic means. (CCTV International News)
