Overview
Q3 2026 marked continued progress in Bitget's development as a Universal Exchange (UEX), with expanding trading activity, deeper liquidity and new infrastructure connecting cryptocurrency markets, tokenized equities and traditional financial instruments.
Total trading volume across six reported categories reached approximately $1.86 trillion during the quarter, with monthly activity increasing 21.2% between July and September. Crypto derivatives remained a major contributor, reaching $409.19 billion in September, while crypto spot and CFD trading recorded substantial growth over the same period. CFD trading accounted for $376.32 billion in quarterly volume, highlighting the contribution of traditional financial instruments to overall platform activity.
Liquidity performance remained a key area of focus. Independent assessments by TokenInsight and CoinGecko positioned Bitget among the leading exchanges for spot and derivatives market depth, while separate research from CryptoRank and DeFiLlama highlighted competitive execution quality across tokenized equities. These findings provided external benchmarks for the platform's liquidity development as cross-asset trading activity expanded.
Product development centered on making a broader range of assets accessible and usable within a single account. The Cross-Asset Unified Account introduced a shared margin framework covering more than 370 eligible assets, including tokenized US equities, while enhancements to GetAgent, Cash Plus and TradingView expanded access to AI-assisted research, yield-generating balances and professional trading tools. Bitget also refined its institutional pricing and liquidity incentive programs to support participation across cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets.
Beyond the exchange, Bitget Wallet surpassed 100 million users and recorded a shift toward everyday financial activity, with daily payment users outnumbering traders for the first time. New payment partnerships, tokenized equity integrations and the introduction of Assetback extended the wallet's utility across payments, savings and self-custodial asset management.
The quarter also saw Bitget respond to a security incident on September 24 involving unauthorized transfers from its hot and warm wallet infrastructure. The incident involved $388 million in authorized transfers. Bitget activated emergency response measures, engaged Mandiant and SlowMist for independent forensic investigation, and implemented additional security validation procedures. User account balances remained unaffected, while the exchange progressively restored withdrawal services and replenished its Protection Fund to more than $300 million by September 30, ahead of schedule. The response underscored the importance of asset protection, operational resilience, and transparent communication as Bitget continues expanding its multi-asset ecosystem.
Quarterly Highlights
Bitget Records $1.86 Trillion in Q3 Trading Volume
Bitget recorded approximately $1.86 trillion in trading volume across six reported categories during Q3 2026, with combined monthly volume increasing 21.2% from July to September. Crypto derivatives trading rose 31.5% to $409.19 billion in September, while crypto spot volume increased 65.7% and CFD volume grew 39.7% over the same period. CFDs contributed $376.32 billion in quarterly volume, becoming the largest non-crypto category on the platform.
Independent Reports Highlight Bitget's Spot and Futures Liquidity
TokenInsight's September 2026 Crypto Exchange Liquidity Report ranked Bitget first among nine exchanges analyzed for combined BTC and ETH futures order-book depth within 0.05% of market price, recording $41.6 million in liquidity. Bitget also led combined gold and silver futures depth within the 0.03% price band at $7.21 million. In spot markets, CoinGecko's 2026 Crypto Liquidity on CEXes report placed Bitget alongside OKX, behind Binance, for BTC order-book depth, with approximately $4 million to $5 million available on each side within a ±$100 price range. The findings highlighted Bitget's competitive liquidity across cryptocurrency and precious metals markets.
Bitget Restores Protection Fund Following September Security Incident
On September 24, Bitget detected unauthorized transfers affecting its hot and warm wallet infrastructure and immediately activated emergency containment measures. The incident resulted in $388 million in unauthorized transfers, while cold wallets and Bitget Wallet's separate self-custodial infrastructure remained unaffected. User account balances were protected throughout the incident, with Bitget engaging Mandiant and SlowMist for independent forensic investigations and progressively restoring withdrawal services following additional security checks. On September 30, Bitget announced that its Protection Fund had been replenished to more than $300 million, ahead of its one-week commitment. The Protection Fund remains publicly verifiable onchain, providing an additional layer of financial protection for users.
Strengthening Security Infrastructure and Asset Protection
As part of its broader security enhancements, Bitget introduced a new circuit breaker mechanism designed to enable prompt intervention in the event of a platform attack or large-scale capital outflows, helping contain potential risks and safeguard user assets. All affected system components were replaced rather than simply patched, eliminating the access pathways exploited in the incident. Bitget also upgraded its security solutions and passed an independent security assessment conducted by SlowMist. Reflecting its continued commitment to security, Bitget increased its security budget. Meanwhile, Bitget maintained its Proof of Reserves (PoR) ratio consistently above 110%, while expanding the number of supported cryptocurrencies to nearly 20.
Cross-Asset Unified Account Expands Tokenized Equity Utility
Bitget introduced its Cross-Asset Unified Account, integrating more than 370 eligible assets, including 100 tokenized US stocks, into a shared margin framework. The upgrade enables eligible rTokens to be used as collateral for futures and margin trading or stablecoin borrowing, subject to applicable risk and collateral requirements. With eligible assets receiving collateral valuation ratios of up to 95%, the framework allows users to manage capital across cryptocurrency and tokenized equity positions within a shared margin account. The launch marked a further step in Bitget's UEX development, extending the role of tokenized equities from market access toward cross-asset capital management.
Bitget Wallet Surpasses 100 Million Users as Payment Activity Expands
Bitget Wallet surpassed 100 million users globally during H1 2026, with daily payment users exceeding traders for the first time. The wallet's payment infrastructure expanded to more than 80 payment rails and 100 currencies, with over $177 billion in settled stablecoin volume. Bitget Wallet Cards also exceeded 150,000 issued across more than 50 markets, while spending reached $31 million in H1 2026, up 191% from the preceding six months. Alongside this growth, Bitget Wallet introduced Assetback, enabling eligible card users to receive cashback in Bitcoin, gold or tokenized US stocks and ETFs, and expanded tokenized equity access through integrations with Reality and Robinhood Chain. These developments reflected the wallet's growing role in everyday payments and self-custodial financial services.
Independent Research Highlights Tokenized Equity Execution Quality
Independent research from CryptoRank and DeFiLlama highlighted Bitget's liquidity and execution performance across tokenized equities. CryptoRank found that Bitget's Reality rTokens recorded the lowest simulated slippage across NVIDIA, Microsoft, Meta and Tesla for $10,000 and $50,000 orders, with slippage on $50,000 trades up to 58% lower than competing products. DeFiLlama separately reported that Bitget maintained the lowest median bid-ask spread of 0.83 basis points and the deepest top-of-book liquidity across five tokenized equity markets evaluated. The findings provided independent benchmarks for evaluating liquidity and execution quality as tokenized markets develop.
Bitget Expands AI Trading and Institutional Services
Bitget expanded GetAgent Playbook to tokenized US equities, introducing six AI-powered strategies covering stock screening, investment research and automated order placement. GetAgent AI Briefing also brought daily cryptocurrency and US equity market intelligence directly into trading pages, building on more than 100,000 daily visits to GetAgent. Institutional infrastructure developed alongside these upgrades, with revised PRO and Liquidity Incentive Programs introducing differentiated fee structures and enhanced maker rebates across selected markets. TradingView integration and the launch of Cash Plus further expanded the platform's trading and capital management tools.
Bitget's Growth in Numbers
Crypto Derivatives Volume Reaches $409 Billion as Trading Activity Expands in Q3
Bitget maintained strong trading momentum throughout Q3 2026, with crypto derivatives volume increasing 31.5% from July to September to reach $409.19 billion. Growth extended across other key markets, with crypto spot trading volume rising 65.7% and CFD volume expanding 39.7% over the same period, reflecting continued demand for both digital assets and traditional financial instruments. Total trading volume across the six reported categories reached approximately $1.86 trillion for the quarter, with monthly activity increasing steadily from July through September. While trading volumes varied across individual asset classes, the broader trend showed crypto derivatives, spot markets and CFDs driving much of the quarter's growth. CFD trading contributed $376.32 billion over the quarter, making it the largest non-crypto category by volume. The sustained expansion in these categories highlights the scale of trading activity across Bitget's platform and the increasingly important role of traditional financial products within its Universal Exchange ecosystem.
$41.6 Million in BTC and ETH Futures Depth, Leading Exchange Liquidity Rankings
According to
TokenInsight's September 2026 Crypto Exchange Liquidity Report, Bitget ranked first among the exchanges analyzed for combined BTC and ETH futures order book depth within 0.05% of the market price, recording $41.60 million in liquidity. The exchange also led in combined gold and silver futures depth within the 0.03% price band, reaching $7.21 million. Based on data collected between August 16 and September 14, 2026, across nine major exchanges, the findings highlight Bitget's capacity to accommodate larger orders across cryptocurrency and precious metals derivatives markets. This performance reflects the continued expansion of Bitget's UEX, supporting deeper liquidity across digital assets and traditional financial instruments.
Bitget Among Leading Exchanges for BTC and ETH Spot Liquidity
Bitget's competitive liquidity extended to spot markets, as highlighted in
CoinGecko's 2026 Crypto Liquidity on CEXes report. Across eight centralized exchanges analyzed, Bitget ranked alongside OKX, behind Binance, for BTC order-book depth, maintaining approximately $4 million to $5 million in liquidity on each side of the order book within a ±$100 price range. Bitget also placed among the top three exchanges for ETH liquidity within a ±$3 price range, with liquidity increasing sharply at the ±$10 interval. Together, the findings from TokenInsight and CoinGecko demonstrate Bitget's competitive market depth across both spot and derivatives markets, supporting efficient trade execution across its core cryptocurrency products.
Product and Integrations
GetAgent Playbook Expands AI-Powered Trading to Tokenized US Equities
Bitget expanded GetAgent Playbook into tokenized US equities, introducing six AI-powered strategies covering stock screening, investment research and automated order placement. Built on Bitget's Agent Harness execution framework, the expansion allows users to deploy structured strategies across US equities, crypto and commodities, including thematic stock selection, macro-driven investing and automated QQQ purchases. The development extends AI-assisted trading beyond crypto markets, bringing tokenized equities into the same research and execution environment as digital assets.
Institutional Trading Framework Strengthens Multi-Asset Liquidity
Bitget upgraded its institutional trading framework through revised pricing and liquidity incentives under its PRO and Liquidity Incentive Programs. The update introduced differentiated fee structures for major crypto pairs, emerging assets and TradFi futures, alongside improved maker rebates and tiered taker pricing for institutional participants. Selected spot maker rebates increased to 1.5 basis points, while selected futures maker rebates rose to 1.0 basis point, with TradFi futures taker fees maintained at 0.65 basis points. The framework supports deeper liquidity provision and more efficient execution across Bitget's expanding range of crypto, tokenized equity and traditional financial products.
Cash Plus Introduces Yield-Generating Stablecoin Balances
Bitget launched Cash Plus, a yield-generating product that allows users to convert USDT or USDC into an interest-bearing balance at a 1:1 ratio. Supported by allocations to real-world assets, including USDGO backed by short-term US government securities and other liquid assets, Cash Plus incorporates compounded earnings without fixed staking or lock-up requirements. The product expands the role of stablecoins beyond trading and settlement, allowing users to earn returns on available balances while supporting Bitget's broader focus on capital efficiency within its Universal Exchange ecosystem.
Cross-Asset Unified Account Brings 100 Tokenized US Stocks Into a Single Margin Pool
Bitget introduced its Cross-Asset Unified Account, integrating more than 370 eligible assets, including 100 tokenized US equities, into a single margin framework. The upgrade allows eligible rTokens to serve as collateral for futures and margin trading or stablecoin borrowing while users maintain exposure to the underlying equities, subject to applicable collateral and risk requirements. With eligible collateral discount rates of up to 95%, the framework expands the utility of tokenized stocks beyond spot trading and reduces the need to manage capital across separate crypto and traditional asset accounts. The launch marks a significant step in Bitget's UEX strategy, bringing cross-asset capital management into a unified trading environment.
GetAgent AI Briefing Connects Crypto and US Equity Market Research
Bitget introduced GetAgent AI Briefing, expanding its AI assistant with daily market intelligence covering both cryptocurrencies and US equities. Integrated directly into asset trading pages, the feature combines technical analysis, analyst consensus, earnings previews, market sentiment and key trading signals into a structured research summary that updates with market conditions. With GetAgent recording more than 100,000 daily visits, the launch builds on growing demand for AI-assisted market research and provides users with a more consistent way to evaluate opportunities across crypto and traditional financial markets.
TradingView Integration Streamlines CFD Analysis and Execution
Bitget integrated TradingView natively into its CFD platform, bringing professional charting tools and trade execution into a single interface. The upgrade introduces customizable layouts, split-screen market monitoring, technical indicators and advanced drawing tools, allowing users to analyze commodities, foreign exchange and indices without switching between platforms. By connecting market analysis directly with execution within Bitget's USDT-settled CFD environment, the integration simplifies multi-asset trading workflows and improves access to professional-grade tools as traditional financial products become a larger part of the UEX ecosystem.
Bitget Wallet
Bitget Wallet Surpasses 100 Million Users as Payments Overtake Trading
Bitget Wallet surpassed 100 million users globally, marking the first time daily payment users outnumbered traders in the platform's history. Wallets are increasingly used as everyday stablecoin accounts rather than trading tools. Bitget Wallet Cards issued passed 150,000 across 50+ markets, with H1 2026 global card spending reaching $31M — up 191% from H2 2025, and up 416% in emerging markets specifically — at a frequency consistent with routine debit-card use. The milestone caps Bitget Wallet's transformation from a crypto-trading tool into everyday-finance infrastructure, now spanning 80+ payment rails, 100+ currencies, and $177B+ in settled stablecoin volume.
Bitget Wallet Launches Assetback, Turning Card Payment Cashback Into Tokenized Stocks
Bitget Wallet introduced Assetback, letting Bitget Wallet Card users earn up to 3% cashback in Bitcoin, gold, or tokenized US stocks and ETFs — including NVIDIA, Tesla, Google, and the SP 500 via xStocks. Assetback automatically converts eligible rewards into a user's pre-selected asset with no brokerage account or extra checkout steps, extending tokenized real-world assets beyond trading and institutional use and giving users in markets where US equity investing is costly a simple path to build a portfolio through routine purchases. The launch lands as crypto card spending accelerates sector-wide while Bitget Wallet Card spending itself nearly tripled in H1 2026.
Bitget Wallet Deepens RWA Push With Reality and Robinhood Integrations
Bitget Wallet expanded tokenized equity access via
integration with Reality, a regulated tokenized asset issuance protocol, giving its 100 million users direct self-custodial access to 1,700+ tokenized US stocks and ETFs alongside existing Ondo and xStocks offerings on Arbitrum and Morph. Bitget Wallet also
partnered with Robinhood Crypto, becoming among the first wallets to integrate Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit-based Ethereum L2, giving users access to Stock Tokens. Both integrations followed RWA trading volume on Bitget Wallet growing 27% quarter-on-quarter in Q2 2026, and position the wallet among the broadest self-custodial venues for tokenized US equities, now spanning multiple issuance protocols and settlement chains.
Bitget Wallet Expands Payments and Policy Footprints Through New Partnerships
In Q3, Bitget Wallet formalized its
global tie-up with Mesh, letting users link their wallet directly within Mesh's connection interface to fund accounts or make purchases across hundreds of integrated platforms. In Latin America, it
partnered with alfred to launch a bank transfer-based stablecoin on-ramp across Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia, letting users convert local currency into USDC/USDT via familiar domestic rails. In Japan,
Bitget Wallet joined the Blockchain Collaborative Consortium (BCCC), the country's largest blockchain industry association, entering discussions on wallet standards and self-custody regulation. Across all three, the common thread is extending where and how Bitget Wallet's 100 million users can move, spend, and be regulated around the assets they hold.
