Coca-Cola (KO.US) plans to invest 10 billions USD to strengthen U.S. facilities and logistics infrastructure

智通财经2026/09/17 02:26
Coca-Cola announced on Tuesday that it plans to invest $10 billions in U.S. infrastructure between 2026 and 2030.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that Coca-Cola (KO.US) stated on Tuesday that it plans to invest $10 billion in US infrastructure between 2026 and 2030. The US is one of its largest markets, and this move aims to meet the growing demand for its products.

According to the company, the investment will be used for US facilities and logistics infrastructure, including new construction and expansion of manufacturing and bottling plants, increased distribution centers and warehousing capacity, office and campus facilities, as well as related production and distribution infrastructure.

The total $10 billion investment includes both new projects and previously announced ones, the latter involving California, Colorado, Alabama, New York, among others. Specific sites to be upgraded include: the bottling and distribution facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California; the bottling plant in Colorado Springs, Colorado; the manufacturing plant in Indianapolis; the Coca-Cola United campus in Birmingham, Alabama; the Fairlife plant in Coopersville, Michigan; and a distribution center in Orlando.

Coca-Cola CFO John Murphy said that the above-mentioned $10 billion is a system-wide figure, not only Coca-Cola’s own capital expenditure, but also includes its bottling partners.

In July, the company expected capital expenditure for the current fiscal year to be about $2.2 billion.

The company also stated that, according to an independent study it commissioned, its US system contributed $85 billion to US GDP in just one year and supported nearly 1 million jobs. The Coca-Cola system includes the company and its bottling partners.

Coca-Cola said that the system spent about $3.7 billion with US suppliers and, together with the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, donated $177 million to community projects. This study is the second such research conducted by Coca-Cola, with the first released in September 2023.

As for share price, Coca-Cola has risen more than 28% since the beginning of the year, ranking 7th among the 30 Dow Jones constituent stocks. By market capitalization, Coca-Cola is the 33rd largest listed company in the US, slightly ahead of Caterpillar (CAT.US), Dell Technologies (DELL.US), and Merck & Co (MRK.US).
