Circle will launch USDC on the Celo network
Circle is set to launch USDC on Celo, a first layer compatible with EVM that is transitioning to Ethereum's second layer expansion protocol. The upcoming governance vote will also determine whether USDC will serve as the official Gas currency for Celo.
