SuperRare Joint Creation: RARE token and protocol contract are about to be launched on Base
News on July 9th, SuperRare co-founder John Crain posted on X stating that RARE tokens and protocol contracts are about to be launched on Base. L2 is changing the game rules, where low-cost minting is currently the main NFT use case on L2. Crain expressed interest in the L2 auction mechanism using L1 assets, and the team is exploring through Chainlink CCIP with a goal to achieve low-cost fast auctions in summer, providing users with an L2 UX that has L1 security.
