OpenAI announces partnership with LANL
OpenAI has announced a collaboration with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), the laboratory that built the atomic bomb, to explore the use of AI in bioscience research. The collaboration will evaluate the use of GPT-4o in biosafety assessment and real-time speech systems to support bioscience research.LANL currently specializes in the areas of vaccine development, sustainable biotechnology, and biological threat detection.
