Institution: There is room for fluctuation in the US interest rate market

Charudatta Shende, the fixed income strategist at investment management firm Candriam, expressed caution towards the US interest rate market during a webinar. He stated, "We believe that rates may rise, and with that will come significant volatility." He added that President-elect Trump's policies will bring upward pressure on inflation and support economic growth, although tariffs will alleviate some of this pressure. However, he also noted that the outlook for US fiscal policy is still unclear.
