Matrixport: Ethereum's dominance may rebound in 2025
Matrixport analysis shows that Ethereum failed to keep up with the market pace in Bitcoin's bull market in 2024, its dominance rate dropped sharply from 18% to 12%, while Bitcoin's dominance once climbed to 61%. The launch of the Ethereum ETF did not reverse this trend, and the market focus gradually shifted towards emerging blockchain ecosystems like Solana.
However, the report points out that 2025 may be a critical turning point for Ethereum. The inflow of funds into the Ethereum ETF could attract more traditional financial institutions (TradFi) to enter, pushing Ethereum to become a "dark horse" in the market and achieve a strong rebound in the future.
