Crypto Price Today (March 21, 2025): Bitcoin & Altcoins Update; XRP, SOL Drops 4%

The Bitcoin price has today fallen below $84,000 after it pumping to as high as $87,300 a day before. Following several altcoins have loosen their momentum with XRP and SOL dropping over 4% in the past 24 hours. 

After hitting the daily high of $86,444, Bitcoin price fell as low as $83,709 while also witnessing a remarkable drop of 35% in its 24 hour trading volume. At the time of writing, BTC is trading near $83,900 and its price has fallen 1.5% today.

As Bitcoin takes a step back, several altcoins found it hard to maintain and fell nearly 5% from daily highs. Among top 10 altcoins, XRP and SOL were the most volatile. XRP price hit the daily high of $2.51 and fell down nearly 4% to $2.37 while SOL price surged to $132 before falling down to $126.14 today. 

ETH hit the high of $2,006 but failed to maintain its levels at this price range and fell to $1,953 earlier today. However, the overall market sentiment around ETH remains bullish as it recently broke above $2,000 and analysts are expecting it to surge above $2,500 in the next few days. 

Other notable price actions include XDC’s 7% pump while CAKE, KAVA, BERA and IP have surged nearly 5% in the past 24 hours. On the other side, PI Coin is leading top losers with it falling over 24% today.

The Yemeni Houthi forces claimed to have launched three rounds of attacks against Saudi Arabia on Monday, including strikes on the capital's airport; on Tuesday, they launched dozens of attacks on Saudi-backed armed groups, killing or wounding more than 200 people.
