According to ChainCatcher reports, the ZKsync official notification stated that the security team discovered that an admin account for the airdrop contract was leaked. Attackers controlled and sold approximately $5 million of unclaimed ZK airdrop tokens.

The incident was caused by the leak of a single key and did not affect the protocol itself or the ZK token contract. User funds remain safe. An official investigation is underway, and a detailed report will be released later.
