Earlier reports stated that US President Trump, attending the swearing-in ceremony of SEC Chairman Atkins on Tuesday local time, stated that he has no intention of firing Federal Reserve Chairman Powell, despite his disappointment in the Federal Reserve not lowering interest rates faster, and called for a rate cut by the Federal Reserve.
