The world’s first ETF to track the spot price of XRP has officially launched launched in Brazil in 2025. The Hashdex Nasdaq XRP Index Fund (Hashdex Nasdaq XRP FI) began trading on the B3 on April 25, under the code XRPH11, marking an important step towards the integration of cryptocurrencies into the traditional Brazilian financial market.
The fund is managed by Hashdex and administered by Genial Investments, with Genial Bank as the official custodian. The Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) approved the application in February, allowing the creation of the ETF linked to the price of XRP. Prior to this, Hashdex had already received authorization to launch the Solana ETF (SOLH11), reinforcing its expansion in the sector.
During the pre-operational phase, the fund went through the structuring stages before starting active trading. Now, XRPH11 replicates the XRP Reference Price Index (NQXRP), reflecting the spot prices of the asset on several global exchanges.
The ETF invests at least 95% of its net assets in XRP and related assets, such as bonds and futures contracts linked to the index. XRPH11 currently has a net asset value of approximately US$40 million.
The fund's cost structure includes administration, management and distribution fees of up to 0,7% per year, plus a maximum custody fee of 0,1%. There is no structuring fee charged.
With the launch of XRPH11, Hashdex now has nine cryptocurrency ETFs listed on B3. Samir Kerbage, the manager's CIO, highlighted that the new fund is part of the line of single-asset ETFs, which already includes BITH11, ETHE11 and SOLH11, aimed at sophisticated investors.
In addition to the progress in Brazil, the market is also closely monitoring the possible approval of an XRP ETF in the United States, which could represent an important milestone for the asset's appreciation. It is worth remembering that there is also the possibility of Ripple carrying out the company's IPO on American soil, a move that, if confirmed, tends to further boost the price of XRP on the global market.
XRP is currently priced at around $2,20, with a market cap of around $128 billion and a daily trading volume of around $3,1 billion.
