Chinese Press Conference: Substantial Progress Achieved in China-U.S. Economic and Trade High-Level Talks, Important Consensus Reached
From May 10 to 11, high-level economic and trade talks between China and the United States were held in Geneva, Switzerland. The Chinese delegation stated at a press conference that both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on economic and trade issues of mutual concern. The talks were candid, in-depth, and constructive, achieving substantial progress and reaching important consensus. Both parties agreed to establish a China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, designate leaders from each side, and conduct further consultations on economic and trade issues of mutual concern.
