Canton Foundation: DTCC Officially Becomes a Canton Network Super Validator Node
Foresight News reported that the Canton Foundation announced that the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has officially become a super validator node on the Canton Network after passing the CIP-0083 proposal vote. As a super validator node, co-chair of governance, and a key partner in driving the on-chain transformation of the U.S. capital markets, DTCC will mint a portion of its custodied U.S. Treasury securities on the Canton Network in a controlled production environment. This will allow DTC participants to switch selected supported assets between traditional book-entry and tokenized forms, while maintaining the same CUSIP, investor protection, and ownership.
According to previous Foresight News reports, DTCC has chosen Canto Network as its tokenization partner.
