According to Odaily, the US dollar remains strong despite slightly weaker-than-expected US private sector employment data. According to ADP data released on Wednesday, private sector employers added 41,000 jobs in December. Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had previously expected an increase of 48,000 jobs. However, last month's data was revised to show that employers cut 29,000 jobs, compared to the initially reported decrease of 32,000 jobs. The US Dollar Index remained largely unchanged after the data release, steady at 98.601. These figures were released ahead of Friday's key US nonfarm payroll report, which could influence market expectations for the timing of the Federal Reserve's next rate cut. (Golden Ten Data)
