Glonghui, January 9th｜Biotechnology company Revolution Medicines (RVMD.US), focused on cancer drug development, surged over 13% in after-hours trading to $121.5. According to the Financial Times, citing sources familiar with the matter, Merck is in talks to acquire Revolution Medicines. The report states that the deal could be valued between $28 billion and $32 billion, and if finalized, it would be one of the largest pharmaceutical mergers since Pfizer's $43 billion acquisition of Seagen at the end of 2023. Previously, AbbVie denied that it was in negotiations to acquire Revolution Medicines.
