A consortium led by Advent and FedEx will acquire parcel delivery service provider InPost for $9.2 billion
A consortium consisting of the U.S. private equity firm Advent International, FedEx, and investment companies A&R and PPF has agreed to acquire Polish parcel delivery service provider InPost for $9.22 billion.
InPost provides self-service pick-up solutions for business-to-consumer (B2C) parcels. The consortium stated that InPost has a network of 61,000 smart parcel lockers, while also offering pick-up points, drop-off locations, and door-to-door delivery services. InPost has a clear path for expansion, which can significantly scale up its network and extend services to consumers across Europe.
The consortium will pay €7.8 billion (equivalent to $9.22 billion), or €15.60 per share, representing a 50% premium over the stock price before news of the potential transaction emerged on January 2.
Upon completion of the transaction, Advent International and FedEx will each hold a 37% stake, A&R will hold 16%, and PPF will hold 10%.
As part of the transaction, PPF will sell its existing shares and reinvest part of the proceeds to ultimately hold a 10% stake in the consortium.
InPost stated that it will continue to operate under its own brand, keep its headquarters in Poland, and retain the existing management structure led by CEO Rafał Brzoska.
The deal has already received the support of shareholders holding 48% of the company’s publicly traded shares and is expected to close in the second half of this year.

Hedge funds have just rebuilt tech long positions, but Nasdaq's key support has begun to weaken
The Nasdaq 100 Index is approaching the lower boundary of its months-long consolidation range, with futures breaking below the uptrend line and the 100-day moving average, signaling technical weakness. Hedge funds had previously made substantial purchases of tech stocks, leading to concentrated positions that amplify downside risks. AI safety controversies and energy supply risks now serve as dual catalysts. If key support levels are lost while market panic remains subdued, volatility may be subject to a reassessment.
