Fractal Bitcoin activates FIP-101 upgrade, with support from mining pools such as Foundry and a certain exchange
According to ChainCatcher, the Fractal Bitcoin network has announced the successful activation of the FIP-101 node upgrade at block height 1,500,000, completing the first phase of consensus change and initiating the construction of standardized indexing. This upgrade has received support from major mining pools, covering approximately 85% of the total Bitcoin network hashrate.
The Fractal block production structure will also gradually transition from a 1:2 ratio of merged mining and independent mining to a ternary structure of merged mining, independent mining, and indexed block production at a 1:1:1 ratio. Index nodes will be incorporated into the core levels of the block production and incentive system.
