December 2025 New Home Sales Report
The U.S. Census Bureau, together with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, has released the latest figures on new residential home sales for December 2025. During this month, the seasonally adjusted annual rate for new single-family home sales reached 745,000 units.
This figure represents a decrease of 1.7% (±14.5%) compared to the revised November 2025 rate of 758,000 homes. However, it marks a 3.8% increase (±18.3%) over the sales recorded in December 2024, which stood at 718,000 units.
