KOF Economic Barometer: Strengthened optimistic perspective
Swiss Economic Outlook Strengthens in February
The KOF Economic Barometer showed an increase in February, reversing the slight decline seen in January and continuing its upward trend from recent months. The indicator remains above its medium-term average, signaling a strengthened positive outlook for Switzerland's economy.
Specifically, the Barometer climbed by 0.9 points, reaching 104.2 in February compared to a revised 103.3 in the previous month. This improvement is largely driven by stronger demand, as reflected in the Barometer’s demand-side indicators. Both consumer activity and foreign demand are expected to develop favorably, supporting the optimistic forecast for the Swiss economy.
