What To Expect From Abercrombie and Fitch's (ANF) Q4 Earnings
Young adult apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) will be reporting results this Wednesday before the bell. Here’s what investors should know.
Abercrombie and Fitch beat analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $1.29 billion, up 6.8% year on year. It was a satisfactory quarter for the company, with full-year EPS guidance beating analysts’ expectations but EPS guidance for next quarter slightly missing analysts’ expectations.
This quarter, the market is expecting Abercrombie and Fitch’s revenue to grow 5.3% year on year, slowing from the 9.1% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year.
Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Abercrombie and Fitch has a history of exceeding Wall Street’s expectations.
Looking at Abercrombie and Fitch’s peers in the apparel and footwear retail segment, some have already reported their Q4 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Urban Outfitters delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 10.1%, beating analysts’ expectations by 0.6%, and Boot Barn reported revenues up 16%, in line with consensus estimates. Urban Outfitters traded up 5% following the results while Boot Barn was also up 2.9%.
The outlook for 2025 remains clouded by potential trade policy changes and corporate tax discussions, which could impact business confidence and growth. While some of the apparel and footwear retail stocks have shown solid performance in this choppy environment, the group has generally underperformed, with share prices down 3.8% on average over the last month. Abercrombie and Fitch is down 4.1% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $123.44 (compared to the current share price of $97.32).

VIPCross-Asset Positioning Amid AI Earnings Scrutiny and the US Election
1. Markets diverged during the week. Between the October 23 and October 30 closes, BTC fell 4.78%, the Nasdaq 100 declined 1.98%, and gold and silver dropped 2.72% and 8.59%, respectively. The DAX, KOSPI, Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng advanced. We focus on differences in growth prospects, valuation sensitivity and risk exposures rather than applying a single directional view across assets. 2. Market reactions to Alphabet's and Intel's earnings brought returns on AI investment into focus. Attention is shifting from the scale of capital expenditure to revenue realization, margins and free cash flow. Lower interest rates can ease discount-rate pressure, but a sustained valuation recovery still requires support from both operating performance and financing conditions. 3. The November 3 US midterm elections and November 6 employment report are key events in the coming week. We monitor how post-election fiscal and legislative agendas may affect interest rates, the dollar and industry operating conditions. Our execution priorities are to manage leverage and concentration, retain margin and exit-liquidity buffers, and avoid treating a single political outcome as an automatic trading signal. 4. Following Binance's disclosure of a security incident, industry attention to endpoint protection, access segregation and coordinated incident response has increased. Key assets to monitor: BTC, the Nasdaq 100, crude oil and gold, alongside upcoming earnings from AAPL, AMD, PLTR, ARM, ANET and QCOM.
