According to Golden Ten Data on March 9, citing Thailand's "The Nation" newspaper, as tensions in the Middle East have triggered a surge in global oil prices, Thailand is preparing a comprehensive response plan, which may include issuing an emergency decree allowing the Ministry of Finance to provide loan guarantees for the Oil Fuel Fund. This move aims to maintain stability in Thailand's fuel and natural gas prices. A source from the Thai Ministry of Energy stated that the ministry has developed a proactive energy emergency plan, which has already been discussed within the ministry and with the National Security Council. The plan is divided into three main strategic areas: energy price management, ensuring additional energy supply, and energy-saving measures.
