Analyst: Market concerns over the Fed's rate cut path are intensifying, and gold prices are set for a weekly decline
Odaily reported that on Friday, New York gold futures fell below $5,100/oz, and are set to record a weekly decline. The strengthening of the US dollar, rising oil prices, and uncertainty surrounding Federal Reserve policy have put pressure on gold prices. Analysts at ANZ Bank stated: "The US dollar is strengthening due to its safe-haven status, especially as rising oil prices benefit the US as a net energy exporter. Concerns about the Fed's rate-cut path are intensifying, and higher oil prices increase the likelihood of renewed inflationary pressures." (Golden Ten Data)
