Billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller: Stablecoins Could Become the Future Global Payment Infrastructure
PANews March 14th news, according to CoinDesk, billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller stated that he "assumes the entire payment system will adopt stablecoins in the next 10 to 15 years," noting that fiat-pegged stablecoins such as USDT and USDC are more efficient, faster, and lower in cost for payments, and are an "extremely useful" productive application of blockchain. He reiterated his skepticism towards most crypto assets, believing they are still "solutions created for problems that do not exist." Meanwhile, he believes Bitcoin has basically established itself as a store of value and questioned whether the US dollar can continue to serve as the global reserve currency for the next 50 years, suggesting its status may eventually be replaced by some form of crypto asset.
