格隆汇 March 16|According to a court document, the parent company of Spirit Airlines, Spirit Airlines Holdings, stated that it plans to reduce its fleet size to about one-third of its pre-bankruptcy level. After filing for bankruptcy twice within a year, this low-cost airline is accelerating a deep restructuring aimed at cutting costs and stabilizing its financial situation. Earlier this week, a U.S. bankruptcy judge approved Spirit Airlines' request to initiate an auction process for about 20 more aircraft from the 114 currently operated by the company. Spirit Airlines plans to further reduce its fleet size to 76 to 80 aircraft by the third quarter of 2026, mainly consisting of Airbus A320 and A321ceo jets.
