Golden Ten Data reported on March 16 that Philip Andersen, Co-Head of Fixed Income and FX Research at Danske Bank, pointed out in a report that the uncertainty in energy supply caused by disruptions in Middle Eastern oil transportation is likely to put pressure on the euro against the US dollar. "The uncertainty in energy supply is likely to persist further. As long as this situation continues, the euro-dollar exchange rate is expected to remain at risk of further decline," Andersen said. He noted that the US attack on Iran's Khark Island and Iran's attack on the UAE's Fujairah Port could cause concerns in the oil market, as both locations are key nodes in the oil market.
