格隆汇 March 16|Bilibili (BILI.US) rose 2.3% in pre-market trading, quoted at $25.78. In terms of news, Apple announced last week that it would lower the commission rate for the App Store in mainland China. Earlier this month, Google also announced that the commission rate for in-app purchases on Google Play Store would drop from 30% to 20% or lower, and would open up third-party payments, allowing developers to use billing systems outside of Google’s own. Goldman Sachs believes that the reduction in commission rates by these two companies will lower channel costs for mobile game developers/publishers, help expand their profits, and allow cost savings to be invested in R&D, providing longer development cycles for startups and SMEs, driving industry growth, and fostering more innovative products. Goldman Sachs estimates that this adjustment will increase Bilibili’s total operating profit by 4%.
