格隆汇 March 23|According to Korea's "Maeil Business Newspaper" citing financial regulatory authorities and unnamed industry insiders, Korea may launch double-leverage single-stock ETFs as early as May, with the first targets being Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Korea will release specific guidelines this month, including requirements for the market capitalization and trading volume of the underlying assets, as well as regulations related to derivatives hedging. Large institutions such as Samsung Asset Management and Mirae Asset Global Investments are already preparing related products. However, to prevent excessive speculation and unhealthy competition, the FSC may limit each fund manager to issuing only one single-stock leveraged ETF.
