Argentine President Milei had 7 phone calls with LIBRA project personnel, casting doubt on claims of "no connection"
According to ChainCatcher, The New York Times reported that on the evening of LIBRA's launch on February 14, 2025, Argentine President Milei had records of seven phone calls with entrepreneur Mauricio Novelli, who is linked to the project. The timing of these calls coincided with before and after his promotional post on X.
The report indicates that newly discovered mobile forensics also include suspected payment recordings and draft documents regarding funding arrangements, which have further fueled doubts about Milei's previous statements claiming "no connection to the project." At present, Milei has not been formally indicted, but has already become a key subject of the investigation.
