The Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, said that the current global energy crisis is "even more severe than those of 1973, 1979, and 2022 combined." He predicts that the crisis will accelerate the development of renewable energy, nuclear energy, and electric vehicles. In an interview published by Le Figaro on the 7th, Birol stated that countries should be "as cautious as possible" in conserving energy in the short term, as the global energy market could face a "black April." "If the strait remains closed throughout April, the shortage of crude oil and refined products will be twice as much as in March." (Xinhua News Agency)
