Glonghui, April 8|Sebastian Guth, Chief Operating Officer and President of Bayer US, stated that there is no need to adjust the 2026 forecast due to the US government’s announcement last week of tariffs on imported pharmaceuticals. He mentioned that the US has already committed to abiding by a trade agreement signed with the EU last year, which sets a maximum tariff of 15% on most goods from the EU (including pharmaceuticals). In March this year, Bayer forecasted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) excluding special items for 2026 to be between 9.6 billion and 10.1 billion euros, while EBITDA excluding special items for 2025 is expected to be 9.669 billion euros.
