Earning nearly $100 billions from investing in SpaceX over ten years, Google CEO: More investments will be made in new AI startups

Glonghui, April 9 — Alphabet invested in SpaceX in 2015, injecting $900 million at a valuation of approximately $12 billion at the time. By February of this year, after SpaceX’s merger with Elon Musk’s xAI, the company’s overall valuation reached $1.25 trillion. Assuming Alphabet’s stake remains unchanged, its holdings are currently worth about $100 billion and may continue to rise in the coming months. Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that the explosive growth of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened doors for investing in more startups. Looking at cases such as SpaceX and Anthropic, as the AI wave transforms industries, there are more opportunities to use funds effectively—and actions are being taken to do so.
