Amazon CEO says Amazon Web Services has undisclosed customer agreements

Glonghui, April 9th | Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated in his letter to shareholders that Amazon still has several yet-to-be-announced customer agreements that make its capital expenditure investments predictable. He said: "We are not investing approximately $200 billion in capital expenditure in 2026 by intuition." The recent commitment of over $100 billion from OpenAI is one example, but "there are several other customer agreements that have been completed (but not announced) or are in advanced discussions." Jassy indicated that, of Amazon Web Services' planned capital expenditure for 2026, most will be monetized in 2027 and 2028. "We have already secured customer commitments for a large portion of this."
