Covenant AI announces its exit from the Bittensor network, questioning its governance centralization issues
Odaily reports that Covenant AI has issued a statement announcing its exit from the Bittensor network and raising concerns about its governance structure. According to Covenant AI, although Bittensor claims to be decentralized, in reality, governance authority remains concentrated among a few individuals, and relevant decisions lack transparent procedures and community consensus.
Covenant AI stated that during recent subnet operations, it experienced measures such as suspension of revenue distribution, adjustments to community management permissions, and infrastructural changes, which it considers inconsistent with decentralization principles. The team stated that it will continue to pursue decentralized AI training and conduct future research and project development in other environments.
