Arthur Hayes: The crypto market is in a "no-trade zone," with AI and the Middle East situation as key variables
According to Odaily, Arthur Hayes, co-founder of a certain exchange, stated in his latest article that the crypto market is currently in a “no-trade zone.” His fund, Maelstrom, conducted almost no trades in the first quarter of this year, mainly due to a lack of clear market trends.
He pointed out that the market will be influenced by two main variables in the future: first, the impact of AI on employment structures, which could have a chain effect on the economy; second, the uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz amid the US-Iran conflict. Hayes outlined several possible scenarios, including an economic slowdown, shocks to energy supply, and changes in global inflation.

Apple has officially released the first test versions of iOS 27.3 and watchOS 27.3 to developers, with the full version expected to launch in December. Among the new features, the AI listening function requires the microphone to remain constantly on, enabling real-time monitoring and summarization of nearby conversations, which may potentially violate eavesdropping laws in certain U.S. states. The updated Health app can monitor heart rate, vital signs, step count, and other fitness indicators, and can estimate a user's physiological age based on their health data.
