Golden Ten Data reported on April 21 that the Dutch government launched a relief package totaling approximately 1 billion euros on April 20 to ease pressures caused by high energy prices on citizens and businesses. According to a statement from the Dutch government, the package includes 627 million euros in fiscal spending measures and 340 million euros in targeted expense reduction measures. The statement also noted that the Dutch government encourages the development of new energy vehicles, urges citizens to use public transportation, and supports businesses in energy-saving upgrades. In addition, it pointed out that although the Netherlands has not yet experienced a serious energy shortage, in order to better cope with potential supply disruptions, the Netherlands has decided to initiate the first phase of its oil crisis response plan, which includes strengthening energy market monitoring, maintaining close communication with businesses and social organizations, and preparing for subsequent response measures.
