Golden Ten Data reported on April 22 that the European Commission on Wednesday proposed a series of measures to address the impact of the US, Israel, and Iran conflict on the European energy market. The Commission stated that these measures—announced as part of the "Accelerate EU" package—include optimizing the distribution of aviation fuel among EU countries to avoid fuel shortages. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said: "The choices we make today will determine whether we can cope with current challenges and possible future crises. Our 'Accelerate EU' strategy will provide both immediate and more structural assistance to European citizens and businesses. We must speed up the transition to domestic clean energy. This will enable us to achieve energy independence and security, meaning we will be better able to withstand geopolitical shocks," she added.
