- Analysis points to an upward trend in the price of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is regaining traction in the market as investor sentiment improves. The leading cryptocurrency has been trading near $78.000, following weeks of recovery that have caught the attention of analysts and major players in the sector.
Among them, Michael Saylor recently stated that "Winter is over", indicating a possible cycle change in the cryptocurrency market. The statement was published on the X network and was accompanied by a symbolic image, suggesting the end of a period of price weakness.
Despite the recent recovery, Bitcoin is still down about 11% for the year and remains far from its previous highs, when it surpassed $126.000. Even so, the movement of the last few weeks shows a consistent reaction after the asset retreated to levels close to $60.000 in early February.
One of the points observed by technical analysts is the crossing of the 20-day moving average above the 50-day moving average. This pattern is usually interpreted as a positive short-term signal, potentially attracting more buying interest.
On the other hand, the asset still faces significant resistance at the 200-day moving average, currently in the US$85.000 range. This level is seen as an important dividing line to confirm a stronger upward trend in the medium term.
Bitcoin's movement also reflects a more favorable environment in traditional markets. The S&P 500 index has been registering gains since the beginning of April, which tends to increase the appetite for higher-risk assets, including cryptocurrencies.
