U.S. Stock Indices All Rise, Qualcomm Surges Over 15%

On May 1, all three major U.S. stock indices closed higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 1.62%, the Nasdaq up 0.89%, and the S&P 500 up 1.02%. Most popular tech stocks saw gains, with Qualcomm rising over 15%, Google up over 10%, Broadcom up over 3%, while Nvidia fell over 4% and Microsoft dropped over 3%.

The US Treasury will conduct auctions of two-year, five-year, and seven-year Treasury bonds next week. Currently, traders are racing to borrow bonds to short them, driving the borrowing costs for short-term Treasuries sharply higher.
