Crypto ETPs see five consecutive weeks of net inflows, totaling over $4 billion in five weeks
BlockBeats news, on May 5, CoinShares released a report showing that global crypto asset ETPs recorded a net inflow of 117.8 million US dollars last week, achieving a fifth consecutive week of net capital inflows, with a five-week cumulative inflow exceeding 4 billion US dollars and a total assets under management of approximately 155 billion US dollars.
However, there was a clear divergence in the composition of inflows. The report noted that there was a cumulative net outflow of 619 million US dollars from Monday to Thursday, but on Friday there was a single-day large inflow of 737 million US dollars, reversing the week to a net inflow and reflecting a significant rebound in market risk appetite ahead of the weekend.
By region, net inflows in the US market dropped to 47.5 million US dollars, a clear slowdown compared to 1.1 billion US dollars in the previous week; Germany and Canada recorded inflows of 43.8 million US dollars and 16 million US dollars respectively, with European funds showing relatively stable performance.
On the asset level, Bitcoin-related products led the way, with a weekly inflow of 192.1 million US dollars, of which US spot ETFs contributed about 162.8 million US dollars; Ethereum products saw a net outflow of 81.6 million US dollars. Analysis suggests that the number of participating assets shrank from 9 previously to 4, indicating a noticeable weakening of market sentiment midweek, followed by a recovery.
