BlockBeats news, on May 6, AMD CEO Lisa Su said in an interview with CNBC that AI Agents are driving enormous demand for computing power throughout the entire AI cycle and significantly raising growth expectations for the CPU market. Enterprises have begun to truly see the value of AI for their business, and adoption is increasing rapidly. In addition to AI accelerators, CPU demand is also strong, because the new generation of AI Agents requires more general computing support.

She pointed out that in the past, the market generally believed the CPU-to-GPU demand ratio was about 1:4 or even 1:8, but now it is closer to 1:1. Previously, AMD predicted in November 2025 that the addressable CPU market would grow annually by about 18% to 20%, but it has now been raised to more than 35%, and it is expected that by 2030, the CPU market size will exceed $120 billion. Lisa Su stated that the practicality and commercialization speed of AI is progressing faster than expected six months ago, which also validates AMD's long-term view on AI trends.
