Aave to Overhaul Collateral and Asset Listing Standards
BlockBeats News, May 7th, Aave Labs Chief Legal & Policy Officer Linda Jeng announced at Consensus Miami 2026 that the asset listing and collateral evaluation rules will be completely revised. Previously, the risk framework mainly focused on price volatility and financial risks, and will now be expanded to include network security vulnerabilities, interoperability, and underlying technology architecture assessment. Aave will also release an official minimum standards guide for project teams to refer to, and will begin examining cross-protocol systemic risk instead of isolating analysis to individual money markets. This move will enhance overall security and is expected to become the reference standard for the DeFi industry.
