Zcash CEO: Zcash's fully quantum-resistant upgrade is expected to be completed within 12 to 18 months
According to Foresight News, Josh Swihart, founder and CEO of Zcash Open Development Lab, stated at the "Consensus 2026" conference in Miami that the full post-quantum protocol upgrade for Zcash is expected to be completed within 12 to 18 months. In addition, the team will add a token holder voting feature in Zodl (formerly Zashi wallet), which will not replace the current rough consensus-based governance mechanism, but will allow users to directly express their opinions on the protocol's development direction from within the wallet.
