The company stated in its announcement that all personnel have been confirmed safe, but one employee was sent off-site for medical treatment. HF Sinclair said that air monitoring at the plant boundary has not indicated any impact outside the facility, and that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The company operates two refineries in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Tulsa West refinery has a daily processing capacity of about 85,000 barrels, while the Tulsa East refinery’s daily processing capacity is approximately 70,300 barrels. Previously, the Tulsa Fire Department posted on Facebook that after the fire broke out, its team went to the refinery to provide standby support, but the refinery's in-house fire brigade had already handled the incident and no external assistance was needed.
