Offshore RMB interbank offered rates mostly dipped slightly, with over 40% of HKMA daytime repo liquidity utilized.
According to Golden Ten Data on May 12, the offshore RMB Hong Kong Interbank Offered Rate (CNH HIBOR) on Tuesday showed that most major term interest rates adjusted; overnight HIBOR rose by 11 basis points to 1.41136%. In addition, more than 40% of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s 30 billion yuan daytime repo liquidity has been utilized. The one-week HIBOR edged down to 1.43606%, two-week HIBOR fell to 1.43606%, both retreating from four-week highs; the one-year HIBOR dropped to 1.69333%, marking a new low since May 5.
