Jinse Finance reported on May 18 that, according to CriptoNoticias, former Mexican senator Indira Kempis stated that politicians are well aware of the threat Bitcoin poses to their power. Institutional resistance stems from the fear that code could replace government intermediaries, thereby breaking the existing financial opacity. She revealed that several colleagues had privately asked her how to use Bitcoin's characteristics to circumvent campaign fund scrutiny. Kempis stated that, despite institutional resistance, the true adoption of Bitcoin is happening from the bottom up.
