ALEX Lab Foundation has submitted governance proposal AGP-8, which plans to stop ALEX community token emissions, terminate the Treasury Grant Program (TGP), and introduce a token buyback and burn mechanism. Currently, ALEX has a circulating supply of approximately 973 million tokens, close to the 1 billion token cap. If the proposal passes, the next 32 cycles will be the final token emission periods. About 1.568 million unclaimed STX remain in the TGP 2024 treasury, which will be used to buy back and burn ALEX tokens at market price after a 30-day grace period. After covering operating costs, protocol revenue will also be continuously used for buyback and burn.

Report: ECB officials tend to favor a rate hike in December, with inflation outlook being the key variable

According to media reports, officials from the European Central Bank generally believe that, based on current data and the economic impact of the Middle East war, if the inflation situation does not improve, the European Central Bank will raise interest rates by 25 basis points in December. Currently, the market is pricing an 85% probability of a 25 basis point rate hike by the ECB in December. Analysts note that although the ECB has left room for another rate increase in December, the Governing Council is laying the groundwork to end the current tightening cycle.
