BlockBeats News, May 27th, Ethereum community member AdrianoFeria stated in a post that the current market is seeing sustained selling pressure on ETH not from Vitalik or the Ethereum Foundation, but from "early investors who have lost faith in the entire crypto narrative, speculators who never truly believed in the industry, and overleveraged bulls who have been forced to de-risk."
He believes that ETH's long-term underperformance compared to other crypto projects and even the AI sector is not solely due to technical failures but a significant disconnect between the core narrative of the crypto industry and reality. "Absolute scarcity, programmability, scalability, DeFi, and even privacy are not the missing piece that will finally unlock adoption in the crypto industry."
AdrianoFeria pointed out that mainstream users and regulatory bodies cannot accept a financial system where "sending funds to the wrong address results in permanent loss, theft is irreversible, and no one takes responsibility in case of issues," hence true mass adoption is yet to be seen.
However, he remains bullish on Ethereum in the long term, stating that ETH is still the "most suitable to serve as the new financial infrastructure" and will eventually receive a monetary premium for it. He mentioned that the current market sentiment and trends are approaching a "capitulation bottom," and the long-term uptrend of ETH still holds, "this has always been a trade spanning decades."

BUZZ - Leerink says concerns over growth in the medical technology sector may overshadow third-quarter performance
October 9 – Leerink Partners stated that, ahead of the third-quarter earnings reports, it remains cautious on the medical technology sector and pointed out that the short-term market environment is “somewhat uncertain.” The firm noted increasing competition in some markets, including the cardiac devices and diabetes care sectors; uncertainty in surgical volumes amid rising costs; weak consumer confidence; and pressure on hospital budgets due to higher interest rates. “We believe that even if third-quarter results are positive, they may be overshadowed by ongoing market concerns about profitability and growth prospects for 2027 and beyond,” the broker said. The firm believes that positive factors for specific companies could help Medtronic (MDT.N) and Tandem Diabetes Care (TNDM.O) outperform the broader industry during these sector-wide headwinds. The broker said it remains most cautious on PROCEPT BioRobotics (PRCT.O) and Insulet (PODD.O), as a slowdown in adoption and intensifying competition may lead to lowered expectations for 2027.
